    Fresh fish caught that morning has been passed down for generations off the coast of Arita City, Wakayama Prefecture.
    It was caught using the traditional fishing method of "octagonal net fishing."

    Octagonal net fishing is a type of fixed net fishing carried out by fishermen who are thoroughly familiar with the habits of fish and the currents of the tides.
    The advantage of this method is that it causes little unnecessary stress to the fish and allows them to be caught carefully without damaging their flesh.

    They head out to sea every morning at sunrise and deliver the fish caught that day directly to you while still fresh.
